Hi Harry, I cannot go in the garden it is dark and cold, and the school at the back has so many lights on, it is difficult to see, but I will check up at a later date, are you still in the land of snow, we have had none for a few weeks, no luck on the lottery, good job I have the horses to pick up a few bob.

Get the binoculars out Norm, Chris you might need a telescope, but don’t just look in the tower direction you just might find a ■■■■■ in somebody’s curtain and see some action, yes got some snow overnight Friday/Saturday was back on driving my old lady around duties most of yesterday and some of today but it’s just about all gone again although the back streets are a sheet of ice, if the old girl does’nt chuck it this year she just might find herself single again, i did tell her that but she just said something like “promises, promises”.

Well Norm i’m afraid i did, and to my dismay she became too comfortable she actually ended up as number two, that was very short lived just a matter of weeks, along with her fiery coloured hair the temper was matching.

I know you will my old mucker, that is what keeps these young trucker interested, they only come on to see what we have to say to each other, I bet they have learnt a lot over this last 18 months, but I do not know if the sheeting & roping will do them any good, with all these modern lorries. But technic’s on how to chat a young lady up,and how to stay married and how to tell jokes, we must have done some good.

Dare bet the young guys think we’re a couple of nutcases Norm, and not truckers pal i was never a trucker i was a long distance lorry driver and if anybody ask’s what i did when working i tell them just that, truckers are American long distance lorry drivers and i’m proud to be British and if you drive a pick-up when you live Stateside your a truck driver, i was always under the impression you wheeled sacks etc on a truck, by jove i needed that.

Hi Harry & Norm,
Your a pair of long time long distance lorry drivers,as you say truckers is a modern term used by some of todays younger breed. Its the same with transport cafes,some places are now called truckstops,as far as I’m concerned I was a lorry driver and I eat at transport cafes.

Get on with you old foggies, you are on trucknet, once when I was in USA I told a chap I was a long distance lorrydriver, and he said you cannot be, there is no long distances in Uk, when I politely told him where I had drove to, he said man you are a long distance driver.

Norm try tramping from Lands End to John O’ Groats in one hit with a modern day tortoise, that’s long distance enough for me, would’nt even do it in a flying machine of yesteryear, not legally anyway.
