Closing Shift on Digi Cards

I was wondering if there is a definate answer cos I cannot find one…

If I eject my card on friday at 15:00 (set at other work) and my shift ends at 16:00.
After 2 weeks Holidays I resume work at 06:00 monday, but for some reason I have an analogue vehicle and no access to a digi to close my previous shift.

What is the correct pprocedure to close this shift?

With no access to a digi equipped vehicle the only way would be to use a chart and record that last hour via a manual entry on that. If stopped in a control, and for later analysis your digi card and that chart will provide a full record of your day.

Thanks Coffee, I thought that would be the case, just never thought about it, it pains me to think I have been driving around in analogue last summer without closing the previous shift on digi   .

I believe that you could use any truck with a digital tacho to either do a print out or to close your card.

I imagine trying to convince a bloke you have never met might be rather time consuming though.

I am interested to know if my theory could work.

Hi did you take a print out on that day

if you did add the hour on the back of it as a manual entry

A related question, if I spend a day driving a digital vehicle, then do a day on yard duties then drive the next day would I have to make a manual entry on the card for the previous day or can I just do what I do now and fill in a chart with start and finish times on it?

Either is acceptable.
