I think you’re right.
I don’t think they’re over eager at all, in fact I think they let too much go… obvious trolling, multiple accounts, threads that go off on useless tangents… it all goes to dumbing down and diluting the forum so instead of it being a useful place for professional drivers to obtain or share information it just becomes junk… but as long as the site traffic figures are good the advertisers get hoodwinked into thinking it’s a popular place and therefore the owners get paid so who cares eh?

But when Rikki and Lucy started it…it was a different club…different people…it has changed…now we have a man with a big stick…me no like big stick. me can look at other sites, and that puts this one in danger of the competition…and it could be lost.
It worries me, it really worries me, that some folk will come here & take it as gospel !

As a new member to this site, but an experienced internet forum user over the last 20 years, I think too much is allowed to run. While it can be slightly entertaining to watch users with multiple accounts, it soon gets boring and pointless. I can’t see that it adds anything to the site, but as it doesn’t seem to be against the rules it will continue until (IF) they get bored. I’ve never seen it be allowed to the extent it is here. Most forums will clamp down on it asap but not here. I think it only serves to wind people up and they drift away not sure what the hell is going on. 
Put it this way, it wouldn’t be tolerated in real life, but in virtual life (certainly on here anyway) it seems to be allowed. From a new member I can say it’s just plain weird but there we are. Ain’t my site or rules. Anyway, just my thoughts.
Mixed feelings on this one, I like a laugh as much as anybody and a bit of banter, but some of the pointless crap posted on here these last few weeks or so, is …well just that…crap.
One of our mate’s aliases I was quite fond of tbh, (we all know who we are talking about here UKtramp) most of of his posts were ok, sensible and humorous, if not slightly condescending towards a few on here, but his alter egos, split personalities schizophrenia or whatever it is/was were a bit pointless.
I sometimes got the impression of him sitting with some of his mates in jacket and black tie, in the local Conservative club at a dinner party, with port and cigars, telling them how he was actually mixing with some common lorry driving uneducated pleb types on a forum, and goading them, for a bit of sport 
.
(However to be fair some on here do substantiate that opinion of some drivers. 
)
In the past I’ve had a couple of pops at my old mate Tachograph the mod, for some of his over zealous moderating and locking threads which were both entertaining and popular to everyone else, but I think this time he got it spot on, as it was blatantly obvious trolling, purely to wind people up and single out at least two members for insults, not to mention the crap and bloody mind numbingly boring content.
I see it’s being discussed on Bully’s now, after UKt’s latest contribution.

biggest xmas drama for me was last year when my misses locked me out of the kitchen when she was doing the dinner and i couldnt work out if i was getting 2 eggs or just 1 with me chips…

ths was the ace card when it ame to impressing the talban for a bit of variety in the camion stew.

I was thinking more of someone embarrassed at just being a normal bloke doing a normal job - sad really
