Where would a driver stand if a pedestrian stepped out, the driver swerved to avoid killing the pedestrian, in doing so damaged another vehicle. Could the driver deflect blame in any way onto the pedestrian, meaning they cover the cost of the damage done? and if the pedestrian vanishes, should they be done with leaving the scene of a accident?
When I was 18, I was driving a bus through Glasgow City Centre, two eastern European guys walked out just a few feet from the bus, I jammed the brakes on, they guys jumped back a bit, contact was made and they disappeared into the crowds… 3 year old girl was badly injured, took away in a ambulance… I’d like to have seen them charged and brought to justice for their actions
