This vehicle was stopped on the M1 by TPAC. I have asked if the driver is to be prosecuted for an insecure load too, still waiting for a reply

you could always ask about carrying livestock without a proper licence also? :confused:

Wonder if that was the truck stopped just north of J28 M1 around 7am. If so, they managed to cause absolute chaos as there were loads of cars and trucks trapped right behind it and matrix signs were all wrong even well after the stop.

Appears stopping it at services 2 miles up road or quiet J29 10 miles up road wasn’t an option. Most be learning from Staffordshire police.

I would say those boxes are less than 300kg so don’t need securing.

It’s on Twitter Derbys rpu ,apparently it wouldn’t stop for 15 mins or something.

As it states that it was stopped by a TPAC, then I suspect your suggestions above weren’t an option. :confused:

2 police Range Rovers (or similarly 4x4s) and 3 police cars at least when i went past, although half of Derbyshire’s finest were trying to get themselves run over in lane 2. Not a single hi vis in sight.

Makes a lot more sense now as couldn’t work out why so many turned up for a broken down truck or even a simple traffic stop.

Did look a bit old and knackered so suspect it’d have fallen apart if it’d tried to ram a police car.
