answer;- only if you intend on going into “special” clubs and bars…
I’me a clog wearer (cloggy?). Very comfy and when you have to cross the cab, eg to pay tolls, you step out of them and don’t leave boot marks across the engine cover. I only usualy wear them when over the water, I’me in and out of the cab and needing to wear steel toecaps too often for it to be worth the hassle over here.
I used to be a clack wearer till i got nicked in this country for no back strap
OK guys, dumb American now, what the hell is a clack…■■?

Can’t beat a good pair of steel toe’d riggers. Ideal for kicking the pump truck around in the back of the truck
I’m a clogg wearer on long distance jobs and I’ve got to admit that you can get fed in the resturant on the ferry when your co-driver has vanished with your freight ticket, lets face it theres only lorry drivers that will wear them
I like wearing clogs, but until they come with steel toecaps and the BS whateveritsnumber marking it’s just too much trouble to where them for work.
I like Clogs and look good for lorry driver, most europe motorway sevice station and in ferry, if people wear clogs and i will regoncise they are contential lorry drivers . I wonder Clogs wear had steel toe cap ■■? i wonder in England, they had strictly healths and safety rules than other european countries because i notice most british lorry drivers wear boots with steel toe cap, but most foreign lorries driver have not safety shoe like scandal or clog or flip shoe.
Betz.
Clogs are an essential part of the uniform in Holland. You have to have the furry clogs, the black leather wallet on a chain, the packet of Van Nelle Zware Shag in your breast pocket, maybe a fax message too, but the clogs are noodzakelijke, as they say. You never get sweaty feet, you can slip them on and off easily, they’re cheap, and if you get the re-inforced toe models, you can piddle about in the trailer with the pallet truck with no fear of getting squashed toes like you do with trainers.
I always wear clogs for driving if behind the wheel for more than an hour or so, but change to safety shoes to get out and work.
They are cool in summer, warm in winter (you can slip your feet part of the way out to control temperature) and as has been said can leap about the cab barefoot in an instant.
The thick wooden soles insulate your feet from constant pedal pressure and are particularly good in this regard in the car. I have a 2nd pair there for long journeys.
Salut, David.
