Cleaning the windcreen with your nose

Another thread in another forum here reminded me of a situation, with modern brakes it doesnt happen, but who remembers driving down the road resting your foot on the brake pedal to warm up the brake shoes? because if you didn’t you only had to look at the brake pedal and you stopped… quckly and violently

In my memory the worst were Bedford TK’s and KM’s although the D series came a close second

Albions were just as bad, they would pull the steering wheel out of your hand as well. Unfortunately you never new whether it would pull to the left or to the right.
And what about the brakes squealing, especially if you were driving through a town centre, hundreds of heads turning to look. :blush: :blush: :blush:
