Yes mate, mine is plugged into 24v the supplied adaptor drops it from 12/24v down to 5v.

Search the Andriod Market place for “Daily Roads Voyager”.
It records and splits the video into 1 minute (I think) segments. Touch the screen to save the video, but it saves it anyway until its time to overwrite it I guess.
