Since passing my class 2 18 months ago i was lucky enough to walk into a job driving an 8 wheeled tipper round the corner from where i live, i have been delivering tarmac, sand and stone and topsoil mostly around east anglia but i have been into london, oxford and southhampton.
Two months ago i passed my class one and after telling my boss he said he would give me some work if any came up, we have around 30 8 wheelers and only 8 artics but last week i had 2 days on an artic covering holiday, i really enjoyed it apart from a blow out on my trailer friday afternoon on the a14 near ipswich, anyway we have one lorry on containers out of felixstowe and the current driver has handed his notice in so i get his job starting a week tomorrow, bit different from bulker work but a good chance for me to get a start.
All the best on ya new driving job
