I am not sure if my CPC card covers both PCV and LGV.
I passed my driving test for both PCV and LGV. I did the CPC course through the bus company I worked for at the time. This involved the module 2 case study and module 4 demonstration task. Once I completed the modules, I received my CPC card. However, my CPC on the back covers PCV.
Is says in order to get a CPC you need to complete modules 2 and 4, which I have done. And I have seen .Gov. websites -and others - state that if you have LGV and PCV licences, it covers both
How do I get the class 2 on the CPC.
In contrast, my brother passed his Class 2 in September 2008 and then didn’t pass his PCV until 2016/17. He only did the PCV modules 2 and 4 but has received a CPC card showing both categories on his CPC.

Can someone explain. Thanks
Mods 2 + 4 are category specific so either LGV or PCV
Passing those two tests will get you a 5 year DQC for one of those
Brother has LGV grandfather rights for LGV so then I am guessing he has done 35 hours periodic which covers both LGV & PCV
How comes his CPC is every year but mine is now every 5 years?
Also, when will it be possible to start booking for module 2 and module 4? I have tried going into the government’s booking system and there is nothing at any test centres within London for as far away as January or February; there is absolutely nothing available.

I think he is saying he does 7 hours a year making 35 in 5 years
As long as 35 is done during the 5 years of the current DQC then a driver can choose how many 7 hour slots they do in each of that 5 year period which could be 35 in year 1 or 5 or 7 + 14 + 14 + 0 + 0 for example
Test bookings are a serious issue UK wide from what I gather from many other recent posts
