WELCOME

ALL provisional entitlements are ONLY on the paper part of the licence

The photocard only has full entitlements on it

your c runs out on 2017 or your photo card does??

your provisional for your c-e will on be on the paper part not on card

rog bet me to it

I passed my class c last week

Well done

I’m guessing your about 40 in which case your class 2 will run out but carry on as normal once you pass your medical on your 45th

The new photo card have the provisional on the back

Are you sure its not the photo which expires in 2017?

Photocard expiry date is on the front, category expiry is on the reverse next to each category listing. Vocational licence’s need renewing at 45 and every 5 years after that.

Two questions -

Is the new style licence now in force?

Is the new 5 yearly self medical for under 45s now in force?

Both from 19th January, 2013.

The provisional will be shown on the FRONT of the licence and well as on the counterpart.

My bet is that both parts will still be required for driving tests.

Pete

Ta Pete

Thanks for the reply chaps, i now understand as because i’m 45 my licence has to be renewed every 5 years with a medical, thats why it only says valid until 2017 and my hard licence does not show provisional entitlement on it

thanks for helping me clear that up ,so phone call to Red Rose Training on monday for class c+e training, i think i’ll go with wagon and drag as i have 13 years of experiance shunting arctics round the yard at work so i know my way round them ,but i want a quick pass in a unit im used to driving during training as i have a possible job start upon passing.

Sensible plan

It’s actually an ‘interim’ issue according to this youtube video the DVLA have produced.

‘new’ printing style, but on the ‘old’ cards.
