Anybody know any firms that use rigids to go over the water (preferably not removals)?

If the above doesnt give you any success try the express couriers. It may sound like nonstop madness working for a company like that but if its european express they are usually better, and a few do have Class 2 lorries! ( I have the same prob as i only hold Class 2 at mo!!! )
