Class 2 Work - Peterborough area

Greetings all,

Looking for my first Class 2 job in the Peterborough/Spalding/Wisbech area, not really fussed on the type of work to get a start any suggestions or advice greatly appreciated.

TIA

I think Freshlinc pretty much always need drivers and I doubt they can afford to be too picky. Not sure if they run rigids though.

Freshlinkski artic’s.only.

Try Langdons or Chiltern cold storage, both on Shrewsbury ave

Mick George for tippers, or most of the builders merchants are always advertising.

Mick George really, that’s last ditch, more elf’s n hats there than on a Fors dinner dance, Cameras and tracking within inch of your life.

I know mick George is not the best but it could be somewhere to cut your teeth. Builders merchants like TP is a gentle break in, no early starts or late finishing, and running back to the same place gives him chance to get on with driving rather than getting lost.

Does jack Richards run rígids out of March or Wisbech on pallet work. They advertise regular.

Jack Richards now owned by Turner’s.

Knowles at Wisbech and Wimblington are advertising both class 1 and class 2. https://knowlestransport.com/job/68/
Bretts at Guyhirn and just down the road are Ken Thomas.

Tuffnells Peterborough if you want to get fit with some multidropping.

Primark Thrapston not far away use a lot of rigids (DHL)

Thank you all, plenty of places to try.

Did some agency work for them, very friendly and helpful bunch so I would recommend them.

Pj Thory run tippers out of Coates , family run firm

Midas at Spalding had one rigid they used to train people on and not sure if they run it. Might be worth a try and might get you your Class1 one day.

Try Boons Transport
They have been looking for people and the boss seems like a good chap.

Thanks for all the replies, I’ve got a few things on the burner now.
