Does anybody know of anybody taking on that pays well (£350+ week) in these areas or Colchester and Bury areas ?
Currently on the lookout although currently employed in Colchester. I have 3 years class 2 hiab experience and experience of central London.
Also have forklift and ADR in gas please inbox me any known jobs. I only ask as when I wasn’t really looking I had quite a few inboxes from this site

I think you need to just bite the bullet & get your class 1. Class 2 doesn’t sound like your cup of tea.
We’re are you working now? You could try booker cash & carry in colchester. They were advertising the other day for a class 2 driver.

I have been on class 2 for 3 years and enjoyed most of my time in this job. The money has only ever been the issue until now but due to a big recent tiff with the manager that’s due to a issue I won’t go into on here, I would now really like to leave. I am already currently doing my class 1 training but these things can take time so need some income until then.

The Best Connection, can’t really fault them since I’ve had my class 1 & 2, they’ve had me in work every day so far, over the past 7 weeks, the only gripe I’ve had with them is their rates, £8 per hour class 2 and £8.50 per hour class 1, although I’m going to tackle them about this as I’m being offered more money elsewhere. I haven’t got hiab etc, but TBC have had me in at Colne Cargo in Colchester in the past, doing concrete beams for Milbank, and I think TBC were advertising for drivers for them with hiab, might be worth a shot?

For class 2 a £350 take home I meant which would be yes bloody good money compared to what I have had £270ish
I have my class 1 booked up for next Friday finally after a long wait of trying to find funds.
Been in a few places down the Docks seem to have a few bites of a possible job if I pass. Would really like to stay away from the agencies as you might know before I got my full time job at Wolseley 2 years ago I was in and out of agencies trying to find work it really was very stressful. Finding a full time job made my life so much more easier I would love to be able to do the same when I get my class 1 but is it likely to be a lot easier ?

If you can drive a class 2 you can drive a class 1, a driver is a driver, just basically asking yourself if it will fit before you attempt it!

I havnt got a clue, that why i was hoping for a brief out line of whats good and bad from you so i do know, or will then have a fair idea?
Take your overheads out then decide whether the bit that’s left over is good or not. Don’t compare something that’s not great with something worse. That doesn’t make anything good just less bad.

Does anybody know much about 3663 ? I hear they are always taking on ? I think I remember hearing its hard work ? What’s the pay like on there ? Someone told me the boys there take home £400 week ?

If that’s Reliance I’d just walk on by. Bunch of cowboys and best avoided. I speak from personal experience.

More then that. I have been told by a manager that they take home 28- 30k a year on class 2 and slightly more on Class 1 which is only trunking
