So I just booked my class 2 training for January of the new year with Wallace School of Transport. Really looking forward to getting started after a lot of thinking about it.
I intend to go straight onto my class 1 after. Lined up some work for when I do get my license - one with a local haulage company that’s willing to give me a chance, which I’m excited about. Interested to know what sort of hours or work it would be, they run fridges, curtain sides, flat beds etc which is all the normal stuff I expect. And they said day time hours wouldn’t be a problem ( I don’t want to work nights).
Also been offered a start as a new class 1 driver with Wincanton - they seemed very friendly but otherwise I don’t know too much about them.
Never the less I’m really looking forward to getting started.
