class 2 to class 1

Hi guys I’m new to this forum and apologies if this discussion had been done to death I got y class 2 years ago in the army been driving on and off . I work in a kids home but want to keep my hand in so I do agency driving 1 day a week.

Is it worth doing my class 1? I got a price on a good company who do It for £1100

The type of driving I prefer is either a lon drive with 1 or 2 drops or heavy lifting jobs with drivers mate who knows where he’s going

Do you have a DQC - driver cpc card?

Do you make official records for the other job?

If you want long drives then Class 1 is the way to go. I’ve been lucky and got some really long drives with class 2 stuff but most of the trucking jobs are Class 1 based.

Cool thanks ye I’m up to date with cpc hours and all the cards u gotta carry. Always fancied driving the big artics and being a proper trucker! Only thing puts me off is price to upgrade to class 1 plus Wat if I fail the test [CRYING FACE]
