Class 2 tipper firms

Dohertys’ have a yard near the A10 (Eley trading estate I think), more North West could be BP Mitchell (Watford way).
Thames Materials don’t have the best rep’ certainly not amongst the cycling fraternity.

Waiting time for new motors is getting silly. Earthline have just put a sleeper cabbed G series on the road that should’ve arrived in March. :open_mouth:
We ordered a new Isuzu nearly 3 months ago, truck ready in a week or so but still waiting for the body to be built. No wonder my boss shelved the idea of me getting a new one.

Joy wheel or BP Mitchell ain’t bad if you ain’t done tipper work kane are ok money’s not good but take on newbies and decent kit and then move on.
Few pirates round scratch wood services but a lottery if there any good.
If your class 1 there’s Mc Govern on the rubbish.
power day or o Donovan but more likely be roll on work.

If Einig gets any bigger he’ll be out North London way.
Probably a bit too far out but Clark Contracting near Tring, or Redferns.

Muckaway:
Day rate or job and knock causes as much tear arsing as load bonuses. Particularly when you get close to an early finish (having done all you were asked) and they give you something extra.
Hourly rate for me, then I don’t object to doing a bit extra.

Day rate on an 18t box and this isn’t half true. I just sit in the van (van to where the truck is working out of), with my flask to eat up some time, otherwise they send me all over the bloody shop hitching lifts and picking up units…

Then again could be worse. Lied about my start time and only did 6:30 hours for £120.

Edit: Does anyone know of any firms in the West Midlands area? (preferably near Wolverhampton)

Muckaway:
HD Ricketts, Erdington.

They were after drivers recently. I applied on the off chance but was shot down straight away for not having tipper experience and seeing as he was paying £34k I don’t blame him.

Nice fleet too, especially the 750.

For £34k that must be some long hours?

Anyone seen the Chinese Sinotruck that’s going to be sold through Hino dealerships here? Looks very Hino/Isuzu like.

Leedale are after Class 2 drivers in the Ripley area.
For Londoners, PMC at Barking are advertising too.

St Albans.

Kane always have reasonably well looked after kit, they chop it in every 3 years or so. The oldest one I have seen for a while is 12 plate.

Locally he is known as a bit of ■■■■■ but then who isn’t! I have a mate who has been there on 3 separate occasions, but he keeps going back because the money is too good, and the grass isn’t always greener!

There is also the Gaywood’s arm, that does demo work, and they have some STGO toys to play with too

Please could the agency tipper drivers stopping tipping their wet crap where I’m tipping brash in Gill Mill quarry. It’s been put there to make a road onto the tip because your crap can’t be driven on. Thankyou for your co operation.
