Class 2 open day

Recently passed class 2 still need to complete both parts of cpc.

I went through a council funded training scheme i had already passed my theory before i registered. And before i had passed my practical they sent me a invitation to recruitment day with a haulage company recruiting class 2.

Seems like a total waste of my time considering my cpc isnt for 4 weeks from now and module 4 ■■■■ knows as there incredibly slow to organise.

So im essentially going to an open day with no cpc and 4 weeks before the test and 7 weeks before module 4. Seems rather pointless attending no? As no employer is going to say well take you on once ypu get your cpc they will recruit drivers who already have the cpc. Some of these schemes just wana pocket and seems to make absolutley no sense to go to an open day without cpc

You’ve got nothing to lose though by going.

No harm in going
maybe company your going to is involved in your training have funded it via what ever scheme. Might lead to a job offer foot on the door

Large companies might well keep lists of possible employees. They won’t be going to an event, to fill today’s vacancy and then throw away their information about future workers.
As the others have said nowt to lose.

Edit to add-
At the least you will get to talk to possible employers. Ypu will find out whether or not they will be worth contacting in the future.
And you will get to practise “interview technique”. In an ideal world how you act at an interview should be irrelevant, but in the real world it isn’t.
