I’d look online to be honest bud if I passed on your details to Rich, he’s up to his neck at the moment, so he’d probably just forget.

No worries mate I’ll take a look
bidvest asked me to pop in today so im there at 3pm. He said dont usually take on new pass but no and again they do. Ask me if id bin in a 18t since i passed my test in Nov/Dec so had to tell a porkie as he sounded like he was going to say no way. In all honesty I cant see how much better i
d be with one or two more sessions in a truck in between then and now. Not looking forward to an assessment as I can get nervous in tests but sod it ill give it a go. Hoping they will offer there and then an assessment but my gut feeling it will be a later date.
Interview went very well. Just need to speak to the boss above now, fingers crossed I will get some good news!
Blue Arrow Trafford Park definitely take on new passes.
Finding work with no experience is not hard in and around Manchester. Im turning jobs down nearly every other day.
The problem I’m told is the time you’ve held your licence. It’s bizarre but most companies would rather take you on if you’ve never drove but held your licence 2 year’s , as opposed to having licence 6mths and driven for 3 months.
If trafford park is commutable for you ring Blue Arrow. Money’s not great but it’s a start. Honestly there’s plenty of work around N/W it’s just that you might need to sit on your licence for longer.
Read the post on the main forum re:Bidvest…Not alot of positive comments about the job.But good luck all the same.

are blue arrow not agency??
im getting a few offers now but its all agency and their “on going work” ! with a mortgage and family its just risky walking out of a full time job. im on £25,000 at the minute too which is not helping. I can take a hit next year but if a company only offers me £8 0 £9 an hour for 40 hours im screwed.

I will give it a read and cringe lol. But end of the day beggers cant choose and its 26k so it would give me the best start financially and security wise. Im not daft I know its going to be hard graft and have known a few to leave this and similar jobs. Just need to get two years down and im sorted. I liked the Ceva job i did and the agency is still convinced i
m going to give up my full time job and go work via them for ceva. Problem is security and apparently ceva are being bought out and I would need at least 55 hours per week and i was done there most days by 4pm or earlier. Ive decided if nothing comes back from bidvest i`m calling it a day till next year and maybe do a refresher course at some point if I feel the need. By next year if our place closes down I should have dropped some of my outgoings so can take a lower pay if needed or at least not worry about the hours needed. I reckon if bidvest dont get back to me by Tuesday next week thats it so we will see.
well its happened!
accepted an offer minutes ago from bidvest to start on the 26th of this month. What have I done. Not looking forward to giving my notice in hate that bit! Amazed that ive finally got a position but its make or break now!

I’m not work-shy and don’t mind handball or long hours. It was the regular 4.30 AM starts and the attitude of the transport office which sent me under. This wasn’t for bidvest btw but a competitor but by all accounts they all treat you the same.
I,reckon your right there all going to be similar in that line of work,as long as I can do the job I’ll push on and get my experience. How did you find learning how to do the picking or the orders and that?
