Class 2 container work

Hi I am looking to get back into Class 2 container work (as I only have class2) I have 9 years experience, gas ADR also. Does anybody know any firms around Suffolk or Colchester areas that do this ?

I know Seven, and Horley motors do is there any others ? Thanks

Bump

What happened to the shunting?

Green & Skinner.

Shunting didn’t work out i was going to work at nights with no sleep due to my neighbour being a total pain in the day. I tried asking for day shunting but they refused to move me from nightshifts. So I thought go back to container deliveries as that’s the only way I will get sleep and it’s what I know best. Shame really I did enjoy the shunting but with music being played every day I just wasn’t sleeping it was draining me.

Thank you Beau Nydel

I was on nights for a while (midnight to midday) and had some inconsiderate person next door playing music in the garden for most of the afternoon and evening. It was surprising how long it took for the unit to reach full air pressure before pulling away at night :sunglasses:

Is it just containers your after? If not I’ve seen a company called mobile mini advertising recently.

I do love being a box jockey lol but what do they do and where about a are they ? Thanks

Only if you buy her chips.

I think she’s had enough give her lol

They do mobile storage and cabins. Depots around the UK.

Thank you

I tried them but they didn’t want. Does anybody know if there is any Class 2 jobs in the Suffolk or Essex areas ? Thought I would try again as this is a old post. I’m currently double manning doing 16-18 hours. I really want day shifts

See JJ Haynes about in the docks a lot, either three or four axles rigids. Based in Cambridge I think. Not sure if they are looking or if it us too far away for you.

I have worked for JJ Haynes.
Wouldn’t recommend, you are paid a flat rate and expected to be out 4 nights and you are paid a percentage of the trucks profit.
My trucked subbed for Debens and I just carried low value loads such as frozen prawns.
Trucks are ■■■■■■ mine had a pod added which leaked on the analogue tachograph when it rained.
You have to fill in a timesheet from the info on the analogue tachograph.
You may like it, not enough money in it for me.
