Class 2 and then Class 1 Driver Training ££ in your area?

Just wondering where the best value for money in the uk is?

I am from the Midlands and we have alot of training schools offering fantastic driver instruction 1-2-1, however most of them want £20 to £50 for the assesment lesson, and then will let you know how long they think it will take you to get your various licence. I am trying to upgrade from class 2 to class 1, and one of the young lads is desperate to get his class 2. Work won’t pay for either of us to take the courses and I am going to have to have the time off with no pay - ah well, its all in a good cause… well it will be if I can get a firm to take me on as a Class 1 newbie !

I paid 60 for my Assessment which got deducted from my final bill and that was roughly £950 which included 14 hours of CPC.

Can’t tell you how much it costs anywhere else but I live in Stoke-on-Trent.

FWIW I paid a lot of money by comparison to some of you on here.

But I got…

Quality training. Friendly atmosphere. Great facilities.

I believe I got Value For Money.

In today’s world of value being measured in pounds, on paper I took an expensive option.

But with so many other factors to take into account, I still believe I made the right choice.

go for a weeks course, 4 days training and test on the 5th, should be about £1000 including test fee.

because they put you back in for your test at no extra charge until you pass for a set fee :unamused: :unamused: :unamused:

Who did you do your training with? I did mine a few years back with crowlands in Romford.
Took my test in purfleet.
Had a Scottish guy John teach me, top bloke, seemed like he really cared that you passed, rather than sitting half asleep in passenger seat hoping you fail so they get more money out of you! Did intensive course 4 days training and test on 5th day.

Cheapest I know of personally in Exeter is Brian Alford, good man would recommend him for Cat C or C + E. Tell him Mike from Topsham told you and he will look after you . Google him for numbers.
