Class 2 and Hiab

Hello guys, i would like to know roughly how would it cost to do my class 2 and hiab course?

Sorry if this is posted in the wrong section

Youngman, there’s no need to feel down (about £1300 for Class C). Youngman, pick yourself off the ground (get a medical first, then look at theory and drivers CPC). Youngman, cause you’re in a new town (HIAB about £600)…There’s no need to be unhappy…

Will the £1300 include my Driver CPC and medical?

Christ! I’m 30 years old, but ever so often something’s comes along that makes me feel old. Cheers Youngman, you’ve just nailed it! :frowning:

PS Life Hack - learn that song and you will never be short of a crowd pleasing karaoke classic that never stops being fun!

The only thing about thinking along musical lines is that odd times it’s too easy to say the wrong thing in the wrong place !

Price seems to depend where you go, but from memory mine cost about £1600 with medical, theory test, CPC mod 2, driving test and CPC mod 4, ie: the full monty you’ll need. That seemed to be around the average price for Nottinghamshire at least.

HIAB I have to defer to others, although £600 quoted I’ve heard mentioned elsewhere. I’m not 100% sure however if that’d be for one type of crane or you’d need to pay that for each type, eg: hook attachment, Brick Clamp attachment and Clamshell Bucket attachment. I know that Tockwith Training are on this site quite a bit and they do HIAB so might be worth a word with if you’re thinking of doing that.

As for the YMCA - I’m 41 and he had me confused for a while…!

ive just completed my Hiab course which included hook attachment, Brick Clamp attachment and Clamshell and cost just £280
