Does anyone have any advice on where i can start my driver training? I live in Larne, Co. Antrim and would live some advice on where to go that offers value for money and knows their stuff. Thanks
Google it. Ring them up one at time and get quote for prices and ask questions. Once you have narrowed it down go and see two of them in person see the kit they have and ask any further questions and then make your booking.

Thanks for the advice, I’ve found a few online, TTS and Swift Training. I’ll give them a call and go for a look around. Cheers lads!

Hmmmmm … I believe you
Ken Irwin in Craigavon is a popular choice. No â– â– â– â– â– â– â– â– and not scared to tell you straight. Good craic also which helps.
Karl does he do one on one training or is it 2 at a time?
Ken Irwin very good, stay clear of Caldwell
I actually rang that guy Caldwell the other week. He’s from the Ballyclare direction i think. Did you try TTS at Nutts corner or Swifts at stockmans lane in Belfast?
I went with Caldwell as he was available to take me straight away, anyway biggest waste of £666 ever, spent most of the time sitting in test centre and on Boucher road, he spoke to me like dirt and put my confidence at rock bottom, to top it off wished me good luck for the test by telling me I needed a miracle, I failed test and never wanted to sit in a lorry again. Went home a took a few weeks to reflect and decided to give it another shot, Caldwell never contacted me again so I rang around, Swift understood my story and said they’ve heard from numerous people like me but said I should do my resit with Caldwell, that was not an option for me. So next call was Lloyds and they agreed to take me for retest, the instructor was Robert and have to say he was brilliant I done 3 hrs with him and passed with 4 minors, would highly recommend Robert from Lloyds but know nothing of the others so can’t comment but got really good vibes from Louise in the office from the phone calls. That was for cat c, for my cat c+e I tried to book Robert but he was on holiday when the only chance I could get to do my test, so rang Ken Irwin as I had heard so many good reports, the good reports were right, Stevie who is Ken’s son trained me and I can’t fault him, really dead on and again I highly recommend them.
Thanks for the detailed response [SMILING FACE WITH SMILING EYES] i appreciate it. Where is Ken Irwin based out of?
Craigavon

There could be 3 or 4 of you taking turns in the seat David! Although normally on the artic it’s 2 or 3 of you swapping over during the week.
He has a yard in behind Manfreight in Carn Ind. Estate.
If it’s decent weather you’ll have a good time talent spotting around town
