Simple question. Can you go for class 1 without doing C?

I think the law changed in either 1983 or 1997 so now you must pass C before going for CE

ADD - cannot be 1983 because I went from car to the old HGV 1 in 1998

The days where as long as you had a provisional car licence, you could go for your class one and get your car licence at the same time.

That is why there were car L plates as well as HGV L plates fitted to the training vehicles.
