Greetings all, just wondering about the C+E test.
I know the test is pretty much the same as the Class 2, with the added bonus of having to un-couple and re-couple the trailer.
My question however, regards the examiner asking you to ‘pull in safely/drive off safely’ 5 times?
An artic being that much wider than a rigid, will they expect you to just block the road? Or is this not part of the Class 1 test due to the size?
Cheers guys, keep on trucking.

it is a part of the test. Normally test routes have places where doing that in an artic is possible.
Dammit, I was hoping to get off easier xD

Is it ? - I think you will find they are the same width
Usually longer though !
Well at least bit wider haha xD
The examiner will always ensure there is a safe place to stop.
Most trucks are 2.5m wide but some rigids (and artics for that matter) have narrow cabs that can be misleading.
All the best, Pete
