Failed on reversing by turning the wheel wrong way first thing then got confused, shunt, then got the trailer ok but tractor wheel over the line.i should stop before again and take one more shunt but thought im allowed only one, went for driving -4 minors only…how could i turn wheel wrong after doing it right 10 times yesterday…-LIFE!
Whatever happens, you mustn’t allow any wheel to cross the line.
When you arrive at A cones, pause and take a deep breath, say to yourself “right, I’m gonna do this” - the emphasis being on “right”. (Clearly this only applies with vehicles with trailers).
Always shunt before you cross the line or hit a cone. The rule is 2 shunts but it seems that sometimes examiners can’t count. But once you’ve gone over the line or hit a cone - bingo!
Better luck next time. Pete
Yeh its a shame cos after i went over the line i took the shunt and reversed into the bay perfectly next time i do it but i have to find 280 quid first

My commiserations! But try not to think of it as a fail, try to think of it positivity… Yes £280 is an expensive trial run, but that is what it was (or is now). You know what to expect next time, know what you did wrong (your weaknesses). So next time you have a far better chance of passing! Be positive and don’t let it get you down, as it was useful and VALUABLE experience for you to pass next time!
