Cant speak for all but if left my class 2 job and dusted off my licence I’d struggle to beat what I’m earning now. I do weekdays usually start about 0630 and get overtime after 8 hours, no stoppages for breaks. Usually clock about 48-50 hours week. Do about 2 Saturday mornings a year and no nights out.
this is what im thinking, what i earn now etc just wondering if id earn much more that makes paying out for my class 1 worth it

Think if you add a Hiab and Forklift to your Class 2 you could make $28000.- and more a Year.
just look around the Adverts.
its all worth doing in the long run. when I had class 2 I thought if I added hiab it would help prospects. then I did class 1. now driving class 1 with hiab. but there is plenty of container work in essex if tha is your thing!

I have ADR, Class 1, HIAB, Forklift (Counterbalance and Reach) willing and happy to work nights, weekends and there no ‘proper’ work in East Anglia.
I’m driving a Oil Tanker for a poxy Agency and that’s it. No work next week cos of the warm weather.
Even Felixstowe Port is very very quiet, has been for a while.
