Times your test?aint there another way round?

It was at 08:30 but the police had stopped traffic so I wasn’t able to turn around, not until it was well after the time my test started.

Bad times, that’s gonna cost you a few quid.

About 4 ton but I can’t be annoyed too much, I hope that women in the car is OK, the copper said she had internal bleeding!

kudos to you for keeping your cool

Nothing I could do so it was pointless getting all wound up. My test can be rebooked, it’s just part of life, these things happen. Just goes to show how dangerous roads can be! They had the air ambulance there and everything!

First off, hope all involved in the accident are OK…

As for you Radar, that’s terrible luck pal! - But the way you are handling it is admirable, and in my opinion the right attitude…

Well done mate, and as you say, the test can be rebooked…

I wonder … if there was a motorist at fault for this incident then would it be possible for radar to sue that motorist in small claims court for the loss

Just because I could doesn’t mean I should. If I could sue, does that mean that Nightfreight could also sue as they had two drivers held up, one already at work, the other on the way to work. Plus all the others that were in the queue? That poor women would be flat broke by the end of that. Besides, even it was her fault, I’m not even going to bother trying to go to the small claims court.

My guess would be that any successful claims would be paid by the vehicle insurer not the driver

Yea well, just seems wrong to chase after her for money when she had to be cut out of her car. Its only £400, if it was £40,000 then maybe I’d think about it.

Ummm no, if we could sue for missed appointments and loss of revenue or fees etc. can you imagine what the cost of insurance would be? So radar sues the car insurance for his missed driving test. The bus behind him has passengers who would sue for missed flights at the airport, the truck carrying perishable goods sues for the food going off. My god where would it stop? The car insurance company solicitor on a retainer would simply have said you could of turned around and found an alternative route. We have all heard of people stranded on motorways for hours but I don’t think they had a claim in for the lorry fire. :unamused:

Hard lines Radar. Great attitude though mate. Seems to be the way these days that people try and screw money out of misfortune.

Got me on the edge of my seat reading through this, wondering did you pass on Monday, to then read tests on Tuesday, then come across the utter disaster that prevented you from doing said test, you deserve a pass for such a fine attitude young man, I’ve heard on the grapevine that V4OLLY staged the accident, to prevent you passing and gaining a better paid job than him ( aledgedly ).
And ROG I first thought your comment was tongue in cheek, but doesn’t seem that way, are you now a ambulance chaser after a cut of a claim.
