Clarke carlisle

Has anybody seen the sun newspaper today, theres 3 pages of carlisle feeling sorry for himself ,me me me…not once does he mention the poor lorry driver who was driving the lorry he chucked himself under,i bet he feels bang on :unamused:

‘Britains Brainiest Footballer’ :unamused: dosen’t say much for the rest of them.on his 2nd drink driving charge as well.yet another overpaid self-pitying ‘star’ ffs

I’m sure this was reported as an RTA when it happened rather than him walking in front of a truck!

Just been on the local news here and he has issued an apology to the driver.
I thought the same this morning when reading paper that he never mentioned the poor truck driver.
I won’t start on depression as its a subject i know a lot about and each case is different.

Nice to see that compassion on full display, and you wonder why Truck Drivers are seen as thick, ignorant mugs. Wealth and status does not make you immune from mental health issues, just count yourself lucky if you or your family has not been affected by the curse of mental illness.

Ignoring the depression side for a moment. He is selling his story for cash is he offering some of that cash to the driver. What about the operator of truck losing money etc. even worse if he was an owner driver.

Well said that man. Nobody in their right mind jumps in front of a 7 1/2 tonner doing 56mph.

Well said pal, thats exactly what i was getting at,i know the bloke must have hit rock bottom to chuck himself under a lorry and i feel for him ,what i was getting at was the paper was all about him and nothing about the lorry driver who has most probably never got a minute when hes not thinking about the accident, poor fella

From what I can see the lorry driver was slightly injured and was driving a 7 1/2 tonner for a well known parcel delivery service. Clarke Carlisle will have got the best treatment available, I dare say the driver was probably back at work the next day with his head replaying every moment in slow motion.

Clarke Carlisle apologises to the lorry driver and intends to meet him.

Hopefully the meeting won’t go how he’s planning it in his mind and the driver will rip him a new ■■■■■■■■ and point out that whilst this prick is getting loads of help and still getting paid £1000s a week, he’s been brought to the edge of bankruptcy as he’s had to pack in his job as a result.

I hope no-one in your family ever suffers from depression/mental illness but, if they do, I’m pretty certain they won’t be coming to you for help & understanding.
