just noticed they are still around thought they had gone years ago, on facebook with 3x 63reg mans & 2x new 63reg Mercs must of had an update, anybody on hear work for them!!, cheers Alan.
I freelanced for them years ago (2003-ish) when they had a fleet of DAF’s. Honest pay for an honest day’s work. John and Barry in the office are good blokes, very fair and what you see is what you get. They’re owned by Fullers so you’re paid from Slough, but the money was always in the Thursday after my incoice went in (basically weekly terms).
It was a very slick operation, I very rarely ran anywhere empty. They would even find a load from Daventry if I tipped an import load that way, to London (often Iceland) to prevent dead mileage back to my next export load (usually Slough).
I was out 5-6 days a week and had my first bash at Swiss with them. If it’s the same team in the office these days and my circumstances were different, I’d go back to them like a flash.
