beware of parking in maidstone services(garage forecourt area)without paying because they now have clampers in and its £290 to get it off
They had clamped some Turks when I was in there the other day, but the Turks simply cut the clamps off. 
It really wouldn’t surprise me if one of these clampers was maimed or even killed at some stage.

The Clampers seem to active on Clacket Lane and Thurrock as well, parked at Clacket one night last week and awoke a 04.00 and went for a wash and came out to find a German bloke in the coach bays leaping around and shouting in broken english. He was disputing the marital status of the clampers parents( 
had to agree with him there). Feeling a bit sorry for him I gave him a lend of my bolt cutters, but as he was a bit on the scrawny side and was’nt very big he could only just lift them, never mind get them to do the job, and as he was parked under a camera I thought it was a bit risky to help him.
