Just been past the wheel tappers at J24 M62 and noticed the cable of doom on johhny foreigner.
Bit of place to be 24 hour’d as there are zero facilities for miles.
So how would you get on if you needed a dump, food or drink?
Would your boss pay for the taxi into town I wonder■■?

Why 24 hrs ? , mine was 9 hrs but I chose to stay 13 hrs , toilets , the ones at Carlisle were left open all night for me to use , food , your free to leave at anytime ( they made me a mug of tea before they left ) ,I had food on me , if I remember right they said if I left with truck then I could be arrested ,but didn’t say it in a threatening way , more it wouldn’t be a good idea ( think they could tell what thoughts were going through my mind ) it’s to be honest like being a layby but just more facilities , it’s just in my case i didn’t sleep well , I was on my way but mates kept me going and talked enough sense into me to stay the night .
As for would boss company pay for taxi , well there view was it wasn’t there problem , all my doing , 1 yr later judges view was they’ve a duty of care to me and if they’d of acted the day the incident happened to all the phone calls / texts theyd recieved then we wouldn’t of stood in a court room 
and I wouldn’t of been clamped !!!
Nb it wasn’t a bad experience to be honest , vosa blokes , prosecution solicitor , judges couldn’t of been nicer , but it’s not something I intend to repeat
Amazing the amount of times I stood in court rooms in my 20/30/40 after getting arrested for ■■■■■■ up fighting and couldn’t give a ■■■■ , now 56 im to old for it , I just want a quite life

One of ours got stood for 9 hours, his nice boss called past with sandwiches, biccies and some drinks. 
Not that he deserved it, they pulled him because he hadn’t put the wing tops back on, then said he couldn’t prove his hours, or they wouldn’t accept his manual records, which they should have done.
That looks like J9 Leatherhead, Dozy.

Just looking at this “proof of immobilization” on the windscreen, posted by Dozy, where he states:

Now if they’ve actually told him he mustn’t move he knows, why would they put that sticker on the windscreen, or is it because they know he’s the “DOZY ONE”

I’m assuming by problem with facilities you mean , wanted to leave , no I wanted to leave because I’d had enough of the job ,
nope, I assumed you found yourself lucky when they left the toilets open for you and you also had food with you, which you could also have got right next door at the shell station, so you would not have been found wanting anyway…maybe problem was the wrong word

99.9 percent of foreign international drivers have spare water,food,gas cooker,ketlle .It is problem just for shift ,day drivers.If driver not have spare food that he will died in France and Germany
.In France gap between services about 30-40miles where you can buy some food not no so much.But small parking area/wire don t have any store.There in France much better with WC but more worse with food.
Dozy, what exactly did you get clamped for■■?
Did someone MAKE you do whatever it was to get clamped, or was it just down to poor planning and preparation on your part?
