Came …saw and kick some ■■■ today …
Long story short… Did my class 1 and 2 in 2008, as a back up to a full time office job…used sparingly in 2009… stayed away from driving due to the recession, then injured back in 2013 been off for awhile…now need to look at get back to work and utilise the HGV licence that cost so much to do… ■■■■ to working in an office after 20 odd years of that BS …I want the open road…
Route I’m considering is refresher training for a few days, sign up to an agency for a few months and talking odd days here and there firstly to pace myself and to keep tabs on my back and see if any major issues arise…then swing for something full time…
Now I’ve been to the JC today and they seem pretty keen to get me back to work, weather its one of them JC things but I was able to put them on the spot and they may be able to help with covering the cost of this refresher training,but here’s the thing… Not sure how agencies work so when signing up to one or several, can I dictate/ request certain roles I can do and others I wish to avoid… ie cherry pick
Don’t really sound cocky or rude but I’m not interested in them stupid ■■■ multi drops like for BRAKES, 3663 or Bidvest… it might work for some but not for me… not sure my back could take ■■■■■■■ a swag like that…not saying I cant lift… but multiple units from pallet to sack truck then dragging it any sort of distances, then being expected to put it away …takes the micky…PS that’s how 3663 explained the job a few years ag
So in short…need some advice on agencies …anyone recommend them for Surrey…Hampshire area
