Christmas is canceled here, our lads missus has decided, with 24 hours to go, she is leaving taking our 3 year old grandbairn with her…

The rub is she is going back to her parents who currently are living in Perth Oz…

Edit to add: Although this is a happy chrimbo thread I can symphasise with your misery a bit. But at the end of the day she is the childs mother and knows whats best, if you object and feel she shouldn’t do this then perhaps the police should be involved (best of luck with that).

Chances are your grandchilds mother has fell out with your lad either through relationship failure or external forces or just maybe problem inlaws who display their dirty washing on public forums.

No matter its the child thats important and best of luck to them, chances are your son will find a new partner and start afresh whilst the childs mother will also find a new father for the child in Australia.

Hopefully you can stay in touch.

Sorry if this is harsh but theres no need to cancel Chrimbo just because of domestic trivialities…

I’ve decided when I have kids the second they find out there’s no Santa then that’s it no more Christmas in my house lol.

Christmas should be a small thing for kids with small meaningfull presents.
