Was in Spain the week before last. I’m lucky enough to have a job at a European distribution centre delivering our own products all over Europe and back loading what ever we can get so get lots of variety. There are 10 of us but only 8 doing regular Europe witch is good as the only time i have to do UK is delivering my back loads if not dropping trailer for UK driver and hooking up to preloaded trailer for back out again plus am home every weekend. After many jobs for many employers its the second best job i have ever had. The best was pulling a mobile exhibition/corporate hospitallity trailer all over Europe and staying in some of the best hotels going. But the last credit crunch put a stop to that one.
where do you live then “tourist”

i didnt realise there was still good jobs about like this! sounds good mate better than what im doing anyway!
Living in Bedford working out of northants. Been lucky all my jobs have been within 1hour of home but don’t know what id do if this one goes belly up, not many international jobs worth having around here now. might have to go further afield and work harder, but every thing is good at the moment company still managing to beat the credit crunch.
hope you keep your job but there’s always carr bros in northants who do madrid trunking for DHL
I’m guessing you drive a rather smart silver unit pulling a trailer which looks like a mobile billboard?
I had a feeling you might when you talked about going to Hamburg last week and using the truckstop at Hengelo. I had a coffee with a couple of your drivers in Jabekke a couple of weeks ago, one wasn’t you was it?
ahh now i know who you mean i’ve been meaning to ask on here about them but i keep forgetting their name
in that case tourist think i saw you recently parked in valverde on your way home, nice scania

do you get any problem with anybody trying to break into your trailer with all that advertising for electrical stuff? at least its not a tautliner

I was going to take a guess at Belkins as well!!..some one from on here said they had got a job with them a while ago, cant remember who, but it would be interesting to hear how they run their operation.

Not had any problems myself but there has been a couple of times in the past when some of the other lads have had attempts made. It,s just a case of parking somewhere sensible that you think is safe but these days where is that. we try to stop in secure parking when possible but have to take what comes.but it is a pain having all those pictures of some things we don’t even carry saying come and get your new ipod here.

Don,t know who that was not many people leave here.I had to wait til some one retired to get my job. The operation runs very well with a management that listens. we get good notice of next weeks work and plenty of time to arrive for booking slots and no hassle as long as the customer is happy. I will be here until i retire not many jobs like this left anymore so watch this space.!!!
The TN member who said he had got a job on there was called “darren 129”.
Out of interest, how far do you guys run into Europe?
