Christmas bonus anybody

newmercman:
My lot have a do, it’s dry though, a lot of drivers have to go to work the following day so they remove temptation, mind you there’s no security on the door, so they never found anyone’s hip flask  last year they did a little movie that was a ■■■■ take on supertruckers, it was very good, we also have an award ceremony for drivers who achieve certain milestones, based on mileage rather than time served, they also have a driver of the year award and some other performance based awards, it ain’t a bad night out really, the best bit is seeing some of them in their off duty clothes, fashion victims they are not :open_mouth:

We got a bonus last year too, hopefully the same applies this year, finger’s crossed

Is ice white denim and the mullet hair cut still the height of canadian fashion then

Do you work for a firm who show their appreciation at Christmas for all your hard work, an organised party maybe or a cash bonus, or even a hamper and a drink, or are you like me who works for a firm that are as tight as a fishes [zb] and gives the drivers jack [zb]. but still find the spare cash to put on a party at the main depot for all the other depots managers, aint it great to feel appreciated :unamused: :frowning: :frowning:

We get a £30 shopping voucher…Better than a kick up the arse :grimacing:

Went into work this afternoon and went upto the office to get some paperwork and the boss come out of his office with a pretty serious look on his face “oh oh!” thinks I - and all said was “I didnt manage to give you this before Christmas” (I was off Christmas week!) and he gave me a bottle of Baileys :sunglasses:

i got a $750 bonus and boss takes all drivers and there better halves out for christmas dinner and drinks for the night with cab fair covered. I for one am happy with that.

not even a thank you

Never had so much as a thankyou at christmas in all of the 11 years I’ve worked for the company.

£250 cash (taxed) as an attendance bonus over 12 months previous paid every xmas.

1 day off sick cancels the bonus… sharpens the mind when u have a bit of a headache!!!

Box of Stella and £50 tesco card…

…and as for the other way around…virtually no hassle…[as others said!] :sunglasses:

Not a penny, christmas do was at the boss’ pub and ONLY selected cocksuckers were invited. Not even a merry ■■■■ you. No thank you, sweet FA.

We get absolutely no appreciation, unless your one of the golden boys where you get away with absolutely anything.

Personally i dont want or expect any kind of bomus at christmas i work hard all year get paid for my eforts and thats enough for me quiet happy with a simple thanks at the end of me shift

I don’t know what a “bomus” is, but I’ll take anything extra the firm throw my way

bjd, You’re quite right…a simple thanks is more than enough…and I do get that sometimes.

The xmas bonus is not something i ever expect, but i accept it as gesture/recognition of
the good relationship i have with the company.
