Anyone who says ‘‘useless fat prick’’ and so on and so forthi already see there has been a few in this thread. You just dont get it, you’ve listened to a few shows but you just dont get it. Took me weeks and weeks to get used to their banter its not an acquired taste at all, people just see the stereo type and cast judgement on that. Doesn’t even feel like a radio show it feels like your friends who are just in the cab with you chatting away. When i set off every morning battling traffic, rude customers, brutal days etc it just cheers me up no end. There have been times when ive nearly ploughed my lorry into a ditch the team have made me laugh so much. Always hate it when they are on holiday cause my working day just feels harder without my friends. I know i sound sad but lorry driving is a lonely job and moyles and the team make it bearable.
What to do? I have no idea even if he comes back on radio 2 or capital it will never be the same. Its that electricity he has with his team that makes the show so good. I had a feeling all was not well the last few weeks especially he has been having digs at ben cooper for the song before 7 thing
Good luck to the fella he has given me 8 years of entertainment and has been with me for 100’s of thousands of kms. Grimmy is a good replacement, id take grimmy over scott mills and greg james all day long but it will never be as good. Dave will go and so will aled but maybe dom and tina might join grimmys show?

That guy winds me up more than Moyles did, singing and making daft noises and speaking over songs, the guy’s a pratt and I can’t believe I’m forced to fund him
Take him, and fatty feltz and drop them on an island, they’d be lovely together - well, they’d be away from me, that’d be lovely.
I quite like Alex Lester, Chris Evans, Ken Bruce, Simon Mayo - although there’s parts of all these shows I could certainly live without.
At night though, I try and avoid Radio 2, although I like that ‘Welcome to our village, please invade carefully’, it’s pretty good, and I like the live lounge or friday night is music night.
Bring Fabio and Grooverider back

Tarrant would be ok if he didn’t try and be dramatic all the time, I like the battle of the oldies or whatever it’s called, but does he have to drag it on for so long
Apart from Alex Lester there’s none of them worth listening to on Radio 1 or 2. I tend to listen to talking books most of the time now, then R4 for the news.

In response to whoever fawned over Moyles, his team laugh at him the same way those two hangers on do for Steve Wright; it keeps them in work. When Moyles finally shuts his face what music do they play? Chav crap or rap; some choice.
Do away with DJs, we don’t need them.
If Moyles joins R2 then they’ll have the trio of irritating R1 has-beens as they already have Zoe Ball and that Jo “stop acting like a student” Whiley.

It’s a real shame but it’s been a long time coming really. They kept wheeling out Jo whiney for ages and ages, and they got shot of Mark and Lard in short shift too. According to their press release he is staying at the station to serve out his contract time (2014), if this remains true or not i don’t know.
He was/is a radio presenter of his own right. He was not a shock jock along the lines of Ceaser the Geazer and James i like the sound of my own voice Whale. Yet he was also not a playlist turnover which is what happens a lot on radio these days. There is a large element to him which grows on you over time, and a lot of his mannerisms are segmented from previous parts/years of his shows. So it can kind of eliminate those people who “do not understand” his methods of delivery for his show/s.
But all this said at the age of 38 he is considered old for radio one. This is a shame really as while he is getting old in the tooth for a “youth” orientated radio station he has and does attract that market. Regardless of what people say he was and still is the most successful radio presenter in the UK.

If you dont like dj’s and you have an iphone or phone that can get the app ‘Tunein’ then get it and search for ‘Jack FM Bristol’ it has presenters on for 3 hours a day and the rest is just music and pretty much none of this modern crap!

Jack FM is available in Oxfordshire aswell; Same format but although it’s no repeats during the workday, you can be pretty sure you’ll hear the same song the following day
At least it’s not Heart FM with it’s repeat, repeat repeat of Take That, Beyonce, JLS and tracks from Dirty Dancing…
Radio 1 has been out of touch with it’s target market, 14 - 29, for years. This is just the next move making R1 more about the music rather than the presenters. It’s also cheaper too as the lesser known DJs are payed a fraction of what Moyles earns to be honest.
Dumbing down or a wise move? Time will tell…
