i got told that they were unloading the sodium cyanide into a pile as far up as knee high…the only thing is that nobody told them that knee high was having a ■■■ at the time… 
Sodium Cyanide isn’t explosive, but the explosion would have blown it all over the place.
Chinese authorities have stated that the water table in the area IS now contaminated, and an evacuation is under way.
I still hold as the top three most likely explosive mixtures: Initial (Detonation), Primary (main blast), & Secondary (incendary) stages.
Iodine Powder crystallizing out as Nitrogen TriIodide when made damp by Ammonia solution. This will detonate at the slightest touch when dry - no ignition source needed.

Dust mixed with Ammonium Nitrate fertlizer… Good old fashioned IRA truck bomb mix - (not a trance track.) Needs a strong source of ignition like a rifle bullet for shock, or a naked flame in situ.

By this point, the other two lesser explosions have started small fires around the place, where a lot more untouched cargos are stored nearby.
Any firefighter turning up is going to start hosing water upon the small fires as they stand - and guess what? - Calcum carbide reacts with water to produce C2H2 highly flammable aceylene, which quickly builds up in confined spaces such as shipping containers with results like we’ve seen on the news.
