Yeah that’s a pretty (zb) thing they’re doing there didn’t it! I guess the tag they give you for your keys is another was to track you and make it your fault somehow…

As said previous, Aldi and lidl should be ok, any others then forget it.

Tesco Widnes are quite an easy going depot, some of the other Tesco’s check that your cab is locked and that there is nobody in it. Snodland is a favourite for it.
Sainsburys St Albans let you stay in the cab (at the moment), the others are all waiting rooms.
Asda and Morissons you can stay in cab at both of these.

I’ve never seen anyone looking into cabs at snodland, nor visiting drivers staying anywhere else other than in their cabs. I’ve yet to see one hanging around the transport office.

You are definately not allowed to stay in the cab now mate and its been like that prob 6 months or more. You dont wait in the office either but in the waiting room opposite. You’ve obviously not been there in a while!

I’ll check it out at the weekend. There’s obviously a hidden den of iniquity within the walls somewhere… There must be more than one waiting room I’m guessing, perhaps the one I’ve missed is exclusively for supply drivers, rather than any old sod with a tractor.

I’ve never seen any visiting driver operating the red suzi locks either, nor anyone else coming out of the office to do it for them.
They seem to take ages putting their combos on the bay, but when it’s time to melt away into this mysterious deluxe waiting room, they are gone from sight in a flash! :open_mouth:

If you get caught with him tell them he’s you’re co-driver with a growth hormone medical condition.

You may well see me in there then!
The drivers waiting room is a portacabin in the car park opposite the office block.
I’ve never been given or asked to fit a red suzi lock or indeed ever seen any there.

bald bloke:
Lidl and Aldi won’t be a problem but you won’t really be allowed in the other big ones, you won’t get searched on the way in so tell the boy to keep his head down, but you could get searched on the way out.

What are they going to do then? Keep him!!!

The other problem that may happen is that they will find him or see him in the cab and make you leave him in the gatehouse. It depends whether you want to leave him in a waiting room or security hut with a fat bloke who still lives with his mother :unamused:

Took my kids with me over 25 years ago now, as a result they have grown up not wanting to go anywhere near a lorry!.There were no jobsworth tossers in those days & they were always made welcome, given drinks, crisps etc but I did’nt do RDC’s(the natural habitat, along with construction site “security” of the retarded lack of common sense bufoon)

Own Account Driver:
I’d leave him sat in the cab in RDCs with a mobile he can call you on as I think you’ll end up gifting jobsworth twerps an opportunity to throw their weight around.

+1.

Ken.

And then have chalk lines drawn around him, and he’ll have to stay still for 9 hours, and if he doesn’t then the Police will get called if he has to move or get disturbed.

Yeah they’ll make him sit in the drivers waiting room all day as punishment.

Mad head.

 as a youngster in the early 70s i used to go with a tipper driver delivering limestone to consett steelworks, had to get out everytime before he went past security, not too bad when it was warm but cold horizontal rain was a pain, but i wish i could back to this instead of driving them, happy days

id love to take my lad with me but when i worked for my previous employers someone else brought there kids in and stuff got damaged so that put an end to that :frowning:
now im on boxes for big firm id have no chance its hard enough to get into railhead and docks on your own let alone trying to sneak a young un in
