Does anyone know if Brittany ferries have an age restriction on passengers on freight traffic? I know eurotunnel has a limit (12 or 14)) but can’t find any info if brittany ferries do. sometimes i’ll take my eldest who’s 7 out on a run with me at the weekend or during school holidays in the lorry and he’s asked if he can come to france with me.
They’re fine on brittany ferries. Might have yo pay for a passenger who isn’t a 2nd driver though. It depends how good a customer your company is of theirs.
The restriction on eurotunnel is due to smoke hoods not fitting kids.
Never had any problems taking either of my boys on ferries however if they are busy they can be funny about taking up a bunk as a second driver when they aren’t a driver but the majority of the time it is not a problem
Ferries are normally find as said but some do insist on extra drivers/passengers being booked in advance nowadays.
Never had a problem myself, just book in for driver and passenger never been asked any questions. But that’s just my experience.
