Can someone tell me the correct way to open the bulkhead door in a chereau fridge trailer. Ive had to do this once as I don’t normally work with fridges.
Obviously the way i done wasnt right as it was cracking and banging while opening
I asked another driver on the bay next too me and he didn’t know either & tried to push it up with a broom handle
it worked but when i got to the next destination the door had fell down / closed again
Im sure theres an easier way
Every one I’ve ever used has a thin release ■■■■■■■■ one side of the door. A sharp tug should release it. It’s then a matter of angling the door at around 45 degrees and moving it to the position you require and then either pushing it downwards to lock it or pushing it upwards to the roof to lock it in position if not required.
The banned word unbelievably was a strap. On

On page 61.
I only used fridges occasionally.
We are assuming that the bulkhead is in good condition, and hasn’t been damaged previously.
If it has been bashed about, straps ripped off, hinges forced and distorted, rubber seals damaged, then it won’t be easy to use.
