Sailed from Cherbourg to Poole the other night and my trailer wasn’t checked at all. No sniffer dogs, no xray machine and no physical checks inside my trailer even though a migrant was found in a lorry next to me as we queud in the bays ready for boarding.
I’ve only ever sailed from Calais previously and know how tight security is there and have also seen good security on my way out of Caen port, but are smaller ports across the French coastline so lax with checks like i experienced. My fellow colleague told me i would be checked at Cherbourg by dogs and also climbing inside the trailer before putting a seal on the doors so was surprised at not been checked.

Haha it has just dawned on me what he meant.
I admit that i googled Calais Jungle Forum 
After posting it I heard a lot of Jungle Forum members set off down the A16 but they have all come back now after someone has posted up the roofbox trick
