URGENT
Just to make anyone aware, if your training in Chelmsford the test centre is shut for the foreseeable future due to the lease expiring on the building! Not good news for anyone, that’s car and hgv tests btw. My test is tomorrow and I had to do a days training today in Enfield! As that’s where my test is going to be now, I’m sure you’ve been contacted by your trainer by now, but ring them Asap if you haven’t, as they will know about it by now!!
Wondered why the Thurrock test centre was busier then usual.
Kinda weird they would let this happen.
Apparently the land owners haven’t been paid by the government or whoever, so we arrived there yesterday lunchtime and the gates were locked and a bloke was standing by the gate refusing to let anyone gain access, and there was a high court writ on the gate, like on “can’t pay we’ll take it away!” So we done a days training in Chelmsford for nothing yesterday not knowing anything and now we’ve been relocated to Enfield test centre

Not good tbh, means if you want a retest in the essex area you are probably gonna have to wait longer.

A bit unexpected as I had 2 tests in Chelmsford on Tuesday and found the gates locked on Wednesday. However Dan Bear 87 has taken it in his stride along with our other team member Roy.
I would imagine Chelmsford will reopen next week but I do agree it’s unfair on candidates especially as the car tests relocated to the same site only a year ago.
We made the very best of it in Enfield today and would expect a positive outcome tomorrow.
