Cheapest HIAB Course in and around London and Essex

Anyone know the cheapest price for one of these courses.

And whats involved? I heard that a lot are very different on different trucks

They show you how to wear a hard hat, how to put cones out and how to climb on a lorry.

Then you watch a video and have a written test where they tell you all the answers anyway.

Then they show you briefly how to wave a crane around and you have a practical test.

Then once you’ve passed and are out on your own you learn how to use the crane.

I’ve had 3 crane courses and I’ve learnt far more from experienced colleagues than the instuctors.

To be fair to the third one, he was the best of the three and I think he could see I already knew how to use it.

Thanks, been looking at jobs on the class 2 and a lot of em what the hiab. I guessed it would be a case of doing some crummy course then getting out
there and learning to use the real thing at work.
