Only thing is you need to Bluetooth it to your phone for the traffic and wifi for updates as it doesn’t have the built in SIM. Much cheaper than the 6250 however.

No you set your phone up as a hotspot, Don’t use the Bluetooth as it then connects to your phone and the reception is not good,as is the Bluetooth calling.

Doesn’t need bluetooth for live traffic (it says model 620 but I guess it’s actually the 6200?)

Mine has a habit of turning it’s voice commands on when it hears something on the radio that resembles “hello tom tom”. Freaked me out the first time, I thought the machine revolution had begun

Theres a 620 and 6200 - main difference seems to be that one has a built in SIM for traffic and the other needs a phone. Theres quite a price difference on the official price at least.

They used to be Bluetooth but might well be wifi these days for the traffic and such. Must admit my 6250 finds a traffic signal many times when 02 gives up.

Still a decent buy but could run up data charges.

Hardly noticable, it’s about 5mb a month.

About 200 quid too dear for me, but each to his own.
If the firm was buying it bring it on, but I’d rather spend it on funding a ■■■■ good weekend.and keep my old cheapie sat nav.

You’d chuck it out the window when it said “no HGV route possible” on all those country lanes, or it tries to send you on a 30 mile diversion when you’re a mile from the destination.

Actually what we should do is get you and Luke together so he can film you using one of the truck navs. You could become a star on that youtubey thingy.

I certainly would not chuck it out of the window, what are you on about man :unamused: , those truck sat nav jobbys are very useful you know. :unamused:

I’d flog it.

(Like the idea of going on You tube btw, if only to give the laydeeezz a treat with my film star good looks. :sunglasses:

Lovely little unit bluetoothed to my phone for traffic and you choose if you want it to take your calls. Brilliant at picking traffic free routes. Great for height and weight restrictions. just turn off the weight restrictions near your destination as it can get thrown out by the access only weight restrictions but gets those right most of the time and makes a great heads up speedo. Argos does the 520 for £250 , 1 inch less windscreen obstruction

I noticed that our local Renault truck dealer has the 6250 on offer for £315 in their current accessories leaflet. Lifetime traffic and maps for £16 more than the Halfords one.
