Cheap DCPC? Eh?

Im with ADR Network. Theyre offering 7 hours next week at a nice hotel, tea/coffee and lunch included for £25.25!!

I`ve usually found things that are too cheap are not worth having.

As I understand it, Its £10 a time to upload to JAUPT, that leaves £15.25. Take out the vittals and there doesn`t seem to be too much left!

There`s 20 on the course mind, but even so…

Any thoughts people?

Very cheap, surely that does not include VAT or the upload fee? If you add those two on its still around £10 to £15 cheaper than the place im using.

Well…no mention of any vat or owt else when they rang up and asked me if I wanted to go!

I didn`t like to say, “hey thats too cheap”!!! I just said yeh book me in.

Watch this space!

Are they doing 6/Tankers? :open_mouth:

Who cares cheaper the better if it means you get this dcpc card just sit at the back of the classroom and play angry birds for 7 hours. When you say it that way kinda makes this whole dcpc a bit of a joke

so how much is dcpc normally.i was thinking of doing adr to get the 21 hours i need, trouble is that`s gonna cost £600 quid.

Does it matte? Turn up, drink the coffee, eat the lunch. STFU and clock your 7 hours. I’m really not seeing a downside.

Nope. never said there was a downside. Just trying to give heart to people who are dreading the prospect of paying hundreds of quids for this thing. I had no intention of doing it, then this offer came along.
So I`ll STFU and do it as per your suggestion.

Where is this at? Who’s running the course?
I want in!

That answers who is running it

£600!!! I just ran a 3 1/2 day ADR course with our very own Diesel Dave as the instructor. Including 21 hours DCPC, exam fees and all that you’d get £200 change!

Normal price for DCPC 7 hour course is £50 so work it out.

Just look at what happened to the urtu! The drivers who “attended” that course look as if they will loose the hours accredited t owards their 35.

That was nothing to do with price though, that was apparently the fact the course didn’t last 7 hours.

The STFU was intended for when you are doing the course so as not to make it longer than necessary. I didn’t mean it as STFU about the course, sorry if any offence caused.

Cool breeze.

None taken CH. Good advice actually. I,ve been in a room full of drivers before, far too much gobbing off. If all 20 of us keep quiet the poor fella at the front,ll have his work cut out…padding it out for 7 long hours…!

Ooh, can you give me a shout when you run another please?

To be honest, if I could just pay some crook £30 to make 7 hours of DCPC go away, then I would. I bet there’s a few doing it this way already

When trainers and their colleagues have been arrested already, JAUPT and DSA carry out surprise audits and training centres get serious hassle for not registering any courses they run with JAUPT I think these kind of ‘tainers’ will be getting less.

The amount of money I have laid out to get setup and approved I won’t be risking losing that approval.

I’ll do 7 hour DCPC for £25 - but you’ll be there the full 7 hours

Well, I think all this puts the notion of DCPC modules` prices going up firmly to bed.

I must admit a couple of years ago when the prices seemed to be about the £80/day mark, I thought it would be a good earner to get certificated up…(certified)!, and go training. Seems a lot of other people thought that as well.

Supply and demand methinks.
