**I know.Dont start me off,Bob. Or we will be here all day!** But even silly Holland have woken up. So perhaps there is still hope. But I don
t think murder is considered a serious offence in UK.
PS. Is it about 1100 where you are…?
This was Hotel Scania. Now that was a real cold weather motor. The night heater was bigger than the engine. It had diesel tanks each side of the trailer that fed with susies to the truck tank. It was 34 below on the Swiss border and that old girl was the only one to start after being parked up all night.
harry:
PS Just seen your profile. Calling us old ■■■■■ !! You`re the one

Forum
Needed extra fuel tanks cos it’s a Scania!
Did you forget to say that the truck was the only truck at the border to start because it was the ONLY truck at the Border??
Only kidding. I liked Scanias but couldn’t afford one and it was a bit too heavy!
So did the law arrive in time to nick the ess aych 1 tees or not?
Central time here so 6 hours behind Britain. Got a load here for Regina, SK now, then reload 12’ wide steam coil to take to PA. Oversize load so bit more money but bit more hassle too.
Spardo I was right on the money about young scrote then…?
Bob It was the st Louis border on a Monday morning & the F88s etc. had given up the ghost. The trailer tanks were from its Middle East days. That old 140 had a style all of its own. The fuel pump was sited in the middle of the
V` so it never froze up in winter… I liked that old truck.
Talking of M/E ,what has happened to Niel in Iraq…?
As for the ■■■■■ ; Punch up 0300, damage discovered 0600, police sergeant arrives 0800, tells me he will be drawing his pension in 3 weeks time. Then tells me he has scored a job as chief of social disorder in the town." & ,Oh, by-the -way, do you need a crime number for this…?" We are lucky to see a cop in the town centre, except when the shift is finished roaring home in the car. I am not angry, & I told him I was surprised to see him & expected to do the report over the phone. The PC brigade have taken all the cops power away ,so they just eke their time out until pension day.
Spardo I think this might interest you…?
A wonderful exercise for (older) people:
I Just came across this exercise suggested for seniors, to build muscle strength in the arms and shoulders. It seems so easy, so I thought I’d pass it on to some of my friends.
The article suggests doing it three days a week.
Begin by standing on a comfortable surface, where you have plenty of room at each side.
With a 5-lb potato sack in each hand, extend your arms straight out from your sides and hold them there as long as you can. Try to reach a full minute, then relax.
Each day, you’ll find that you can hold this position for just a bit longer.
After a couple of weeks, move up to 10 lb potato sacks. Then 50-lb potato sacks, and eventually try to get to where you can lift a 1 00-lb potato sack in each hand and hold your arms straight for more than a full minute.
After you feel confident at that level, put a potato in each of the sacks.
Nice place Bob,though I can already tell your going to need a bigger lawnmower.Maybe you can come up with something to drag round behind the KW.
PS do you ever come down to the US with loads.
Thinking of buying a big JD with 20’ cutter to save time.
I’ll be passing through NY state on Friday. Got to get a wiggle on as it’s oversize.
bobthedog Things just keep on getting better ! Some scrote p#ssed over my front door in the earl;y hours this morning. Still missing the old country…?
I have been absent for a couple of days - busy as a busy thing.
H. Is a trigger moment where you make like a racehorse? And I am distressed to hear about your front door - peasants! Nice 140 by the way. Best motor that scania ever made, at least in terms of reliability.
Spardo; Sounds like a good day out. Just realised where you live - between Brive and Angoulem, right? Really nice country that I used to enjoy from my trips up and down the 20
bobthedog; Envy your place - if not the motor - like crazy. My little place in Spain is much smaller though the amount of land and the peace and quiet is about the same.
Good thread this!

Hey Harry, Are these attacks personal or are the little snots having a go at everyone? Disgusting little sods.
David. Don’t you know size isn’t important?
I always liked Spain. The thing with it is that the EU are in amongst everything that happens and I have no faith in them.
No its not personal,Bob. Its just random drunks using my street as a rat run when the clubs close down in the town at around 0300 inthe morning. This happens all over UK. The thing is in a town centre never take any damage to your property as personal or you will get eaten up by rage & revenge…
As Bob says, size isn’t important, my place is just 1,000 sq.metres, half of it forested and including 3 ponds, one deep enough to swim in, each feeding the other via a forest stream all of which I’ve dug with my Kubota.
To be more precise David, bang in the middle of the triangle formed by Angoulême, Limoges and Perigueux. No crime, leave the car unlocked outside at night, leave the house unlocked day and night too, here or not, except on holiday .
Won’t be moving from here this side of the next life .
BTW Harry, I was doing great with the exercise…'till you mentioned the spuds
Spardo
Yeah thats the tricky part that I found hard to get the hang of.( Its best to skip that part of the instructions.)
