What is your opinion on this, is hot water that expensive, if you calculate how much water is per litre , are MSA`S and cafes justified in doing this or not?

Depends on cafe, stibbington will fill for free if you have a meal, but charge 50p if you don’t, suppose they have bills to pay like every one else!

they also have rent and rates to pay on the parking area (where the op has parked)and the café
plus maintenance costs on same plus staff wages so taking all that into account how could they provide anything free and remain in business 
Sorry , but most places have instant boiling water on tap , takes 10 seconds to fill a drivers flask . Why the hell cant they just top you up ? Overheads my arse

I’d say it was purely dependant on how vigorously you rubbed your donkey!
I needed some boiling water to defrost my washer jets a few years ago. I stopped at membury services, I think it was. I went into the petrol station and asked for a cup of hot water. They said NO. I asked for a cup of tea with no tea bag in, they said NO. I ended up buying a cup of tea and dumping the teabag straight out on the counter. I don’t know if I spoke to the wrong retarded idiot working there or whether it was company policy. “It shakes my pigs”!
Lorry drivers can get hot water for a flask for free at MSAs, It’s in the rules, same as free showers, toilets, etc.
Truck stops and cafes don’t have to.

I think it’s fair because they do have to heat the water but I wouldn’t pay more than 50p.
Have you forgotten the old saying, Nothing in this world is free its all paid somewhere down the line, whether its a free phone, free minutes etc etc, its paid for, and hot water is no different, to heat the boiler, kettle, or whatever, it costs money, if your so tight, you cannot afford 50p, buy yourself a kettle, or ponce one, and boil your own water.

I know it is all wrong, but we are the ones to blame, we are part of the capitalist society and we vote the Govts. in.
