Charging a laptop in cab

Can anyone help me out in pointing me to a good inverter to charge a laptop in a MAN TGX?

Not a 100% sure what is needed!

300 watt one will do that easy enough…

You shouldn’t need an inverter, you can get a universal laptop charger from Maplins.
You just change the end (tip) and the fuse for the correct voltage for your manufacturer.
Was £20-£25 when I bought many years back.

If you are tramping, I’d have thought a decent inverter is a mandatory bit of kit. But as I’m not, I’m only guessing…
But I do know a bit about electronics/inverters, and it’s not all about the power output. The quality of the sine wave is also important, so if you are buying one, get a decent branded one.

I’m sure others will be able to recommend some!

Because I trust a £30 Chinese electronic device with my £2000 laptop…

It’s unlikely to damage the laptop, it’s more likely to burst into flames if it’s poor quality.
Anyway, even if it did fry the laptop, there is no way Apple could know that in a warranty repair.
And if you’re out of warranty (like my 17" MBP) it’s not worth that money anymore!

But that is beside the point, I’d put the money towards a decent inverter…
