Charge out rates?

charge out rate for owner operator should be 150p per mile?

it should be £2.50 a mile, both ways

but it isnt

£3 sounds better but will never happen lucky to get a fun size mars bar on some jobs

150p per mile , 100k per yr , turnover 150k , fuel 50k other cost 50 k gross wage 50k net wage 30k . Does this sound realistic?

Sounds perfectly reasonable, provided you know somewhere you can get 50,000 litres of diesel for £50,000.

The other thing I’d add is you’ve got to be mad to be drawing 50 k as a wage and paying all that income tax persanaly I want to draw as little as poss as a wage less money for the hmrc to give to single mums immigrants drug addicts, criminals etc

Well these figures are only a estamate , £50k buys alot of fuel . Not sure how much 10000 miles per yea would cost for diesel ? Paying hmc tax well it’s life , I wouldn’t mind having to pay 50% income tax lol

I would also say that 100,000 miles, or 162,000km km a year is fairly unrealistic too on a single-shifted truck.

Wars best option ? Get transport qualification or get transport manager on your o licence?

It will cost you about £1200 to get your own CPC or £230 a month to hire a CPC holder so it’s a bit of a no-brainer.

At this weeks price (12.99) and at 8 mpg £73,750.00 net.

You can bet the tax man will :grimacing:

Yes, it’s actually quite difficult to buy red diesel nowadays, when I pulled a fridge I sometimes had to fill in a form before they would sell me any.

Then your mate will be able to explain to you that an SG test is nothing to do with the colour.
